got pwnt on thurs in the library. after giving amishrake his bday handphone thing that said LEONARD <3 TOREN, i went back to rj library to mug. so i went back to my table i realised my chem textbook was gone. of course i got damn scared la i went all over looking for it... canteen library shelves etc. then i asked the librarian how much the damn thing cost and to my horror, that grubby book costs $108 + $5 for admin charges, following which i was damn sad and couldnt concentrate on mugging. so i decided to search the shelves again, with zhu helping me (thanks zhu!), but to no avail.

i was damn sad so i decided to start moping at my table and i was too distracted to do any math. so when the library was closing i was about to leave when cassandra pops by and nonchalently plops my lost library book in front of me. so of course i was WTF?!?!?!?!?

apparently i agreed to lend my book to her, but due to some weird reason or another, i had selective memory and i totally forgot that i lent it to her. well, at least i din have to pay 113 dollars:)

ive been damn slack the past few days. getting ready for the big thing. its like training for comp. whack and whack then 1 week before comp start to maintain ur form. hahaha what a good excuse for slacking. wth i just watched 2 premiership matches in a row! and i had a nice dinner the bedok market. bak chor mee,oyster omelette, 3 chicken wings, 2 cups of sugar cane juice. sweetttttt. i was damn stuffed. im gonna grow fat hahaha

ok my comp just died over the past couple of days.

let me relate the story to the uninformed.

my sis wanted to run a mini cd.

sis: where to put ah?
me: the disc drive lah

she proceeds to put the mini cd into the FLOPPY DISK DRIVE. holy shit. amazing brilliance.

so i had no choice but to open up the cpu to take the floppy drive out, to extract the mini cd.

it so happens that my comp is 4 years old and some parts are kinda screwy and loose so after reassembling the cpu, i couldnt turn the comp on. so no choice... had to send the comp for repair.

so now, while i still have most of my files intact, i have lost all my programs and more importantly, MY ITUNES LIBRARY OMG. i still dunno how im gonna rebuild my library. i mean i have the songs in my comp and in my ipod, but i dun have the library. any advice?

wedding dinner

last night was my cousin's wedding dinner at marriot

food was not bad at all, plus my table had a couple of absentees and the other tables couldnt finisht their food so i whacked everything :)

when the first of my cousins got married, we used to have a table/tables where all the cousins will sit (i have 14 cousins). now, 7 weddings later, my aunt was calling the cousins table "the singles" table. i think another 2 of my cousins are getting married within the next 3 years gg. and since im the 2nd youngest after my sis in the family, im gonna be one of the last few on the singles table hahaha. hopefully my nephews and nieces dont get married before i do -_-

so i had a good time eating and drinking. i drank 3 cups of beer lol and my cousins called me an alcoholic. then my uncle and dad came along and said, no problem, our whole family can drink one. my cousins all trained their drinking skills in australia while at uni, while my uncles can drink XO, brandy and all the hard liquor like water. i shall not be an alcoholic. its too expensive to be an alcoholic in singapore.

i rmb sth damn funny. my cousin was telling me that i should drink alcohol and study at the same time. apparently by guzzling jack daniels while mugging, things will go into your head more easily.

so anyway my cousins were laughing at me for being in pes E. but after a while they started being envious since i have no reservist cycles, no ippt and can knock at 5pm everyday. my 30 year old cousin was saying that he'll still be serving the nation by the time im free from ns hahahaha.

in a blink of an eye, two years have sped by and my jc life is all but over, save the As. over the past two years, ive learnt many valuable life lessons, forged many great friendships and gone through some of the most sensational moments of my life. its quite hard to believe that 6 years in raffles has ended so quickly, but all good things come to an end.

some people say that RJ is a cold place, people are selfish and we have no school spirit. i do agree that RJ can be intimidating at first, but beneath the cold exterior, RJ is actually a place full of warm, caring and funny people. i find that in RJ, as long as you're willing to make friends, school life will be extremely meaningful. its only when u get to know those cold faces along the corridors, will you realise that many students in RJ are great individuals u'd love to get to know better. of course there are screw ups around, by why focus on the negatives? the key to a fulfilling jc life (or your life for that matter) is to focus on the positives. you may not be able to forgive and forget all the time, but ive always managed to keep the negatives out of my head.

i've learnt many valuable lessons (some painful), encountered many failures, made many mistakes, but ive learnt to pick myself up each time. jc life is enriching not only because of the fun and games, but also for the life lessons u learn. i know ive gained so much from these 2 years, i wouldnt have been the same person if i had gone to another JC that is for sure.

the great time ive spent in RJ can be attributed to a few groups of people.

1. my class 2S06A

u guys rock man. how can anyone in 6A forget the totally RETARDED stuff that we do in class. its great how everyone is so carefree and fun loving. i hereby declare that 2S06A is the most united class in RJ. which other class has SO many class outings??!?! i bet even J1 classes dont have as many class outings as us. the fact that we have so many clowns in 6A (i believe that every guy in our class is 50% retarded) has contributed so much to our class spirit.

iii. the togetherness of our class
iv. miss wong's rants during lessons haha

some things i wont miss as much (but i'll still miss them!)
i. repetition of jokes and phrases. for at least half a year

ii. getting sent out of class for not doing chem tutorial (twice) / getting white slipped for not doing chem tutorial
iii. oscillating at j8 deciding what to eat

Canoeing

ah the tough trainings that we've been through since j1 has really enriched our lives by so much, teaching us the meaning of friendship, perseverence and hardwork. weeseng and his brilliant english ("we were left with our own devices"), wang/jquek/fruit for their ugliness, and the rest of the team for the plain boisterous fun we have.

i'll remember

i. staying back at the weightsroom/track till 8+ just to complete our fartleks and sets
ii. laughing at fruit/jquek/wang for their ugliness
iii. posing in front of the mirrors in the weights room and the toilets
iv. rowing. the feel of the water
v. aching like some dog after consecutive land and water trainings
vi. missing out on the team silver by just a few points

so raffles canoeists of 05/06, lets be real men and pwn A levels


Gymnastics

its been 6 years of gym for me. although gym in jc has been pretty slack, i still enjoyed myself, rushing from canoe training to the gym at 7 pm every monday and wednesday, taking a bath, and chionging on to the tramp without even eating/warming up. ive forged strong friendships in gym over the years and RJ gym has allowed me to meet more people, and it was enjoyable. i think jumping on the tramp is still the best feeling in the world. u feel so free up there and its just u. i'll go back to the gym next year for night training since i, being the clerk boy, can go home everyday.

thanks horse, andy, pat, zixi, ziying, maz, boon, jordan, wenxin, juee, huihui, huiqi for making tramp trainings so enjoyable. i will never forget throwing the stinking mats for u pple (SDU - special defence unit hahaha)

3. my friends

last but not least how can i forget the people who ive known since RI. dings, yabbie, amishrake (even though hes in AC), and all the other ri geppers. the friends ive made in RJ. so many... thanks for enriching my life. btw if anyone from 4M reads this lets have a class outing soon ok? BENNY TAN JEK HAU MONITOR u better organise.
